Over the past four years I have attempted to bring stability and a higher level of professionalism to the council. In addition, I have sought to build stronger and more productive relationships between the city council and our families, schools, sports groups, businesses, and the broader Peninsula. I would like to continue this effort as I seek re-election.

groups are heard and respected, and most importantly, where we move forward together.

Public Safety

I am committed to supporting strong fire and police departments. This includes growing neighborhood safety programs such as National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch and Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT). Please select the Platform tab for more details.

Economic Development

I am committed to the development of a healthy downtown and to making progress on our other target site areas. In order to accomplish these objectives, Belmont needs to create a business-friendly environment. This can be accomplished by developing a strong relationship between the city and the Chamber of Commerce, reinstating the Economic Development Subcommittee, and hiring an Economic Developer. Family and Community Programs and Recreation

I am committed to making Belmont one of the top places to live for families. This includes supporting our school and education programs, supporting healthy neighborhood and community programs, and supporting sports, the arts, and facilities and fields for all age groups. Among other actions, I am in favor of completing the purchase of the 34.5 acres in the San Juan Canyon, allowing AYSO and the Belmont United Soccer Programs to play on Koret Field now and in the future, turfing the fields at the Belmont Sports Complex, completing Davey Glen Park, and starting the planning process for a new Barrett Community Center. Infrastructure - Roads and Sewer System

I am committed to improving our infrastructure - roads, sewer pipes, and storm drain system. The city must rehabilitate the sewer pipes and storm drain system prior to fixing the roads.
